Alivia Wang (she/her) is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant and owner of Chromatian. She obtained her Bachelors of Science (Honours) and Masters of Science, both in chemistry, at the University of Victoria in Victoria, BC, Canada. She also obtained a Certificate in Immigration from the University of British Columbia Extended Learning.
Since obtaining her own study permit before her arrival in Canada in 2014, she has vivid experiences living in Canada as a new settler and immigrant for a decade. She has handled her many immigration files herself, namely:
Temporary residence: study permit & extensions, Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), Co-Op Work Permit, temporary resident visa (TRV);
Permanent residence: provincial nomination (BC PNP – Skills Immigration – International Post-Graduate), permanent residence application under the Provincial Nomination Class; and
Documentation: gender marker change, PR card renewal (name change).
She is a proud trans woman. She is fluent in English, Shanghainese, and Mandarin Chinese. Outside work, she spends time advancing her Ukulele skills, attempting to do some cardio at the gym, self-teaching linguistics and languages, and being amateur at gaming. She also serves as a convocation senator on University of Victoria Senate.
